Narrator: The room is alive with a luminescent lighting and the white lab looking as clean as ever with the three scientists standing proudly around a table to match their color deprived lab coats and a vile that sits upon said table top with a blue liquid filling it halfway.
Professor Rockwell Abs: (Cross arms with a proud, content sigh, staring down at the dazzling cure.) “Finally, after eight long years, we have the cure. We’ll save many lives around the globe, no more worries of cancer. Children, can be children again.”
Professor Lycandale: (Give a smile at that, but not a sweet one, you’re also thinking a tad on the money, though you’re just as pleased about the people. Looking at the formula while holding your clipboard, before looking at Professor Rockwell to speak.) “Just as long as it’s safe, I’m fine.”
Professor Rockwell: (Raise an eyebrow while looking over at Lycandale in slight amusement.) “No one else even knows about it other than us, Ms. Martinez, and Lily.”
Doctor Valentine: (Twitch and giggle while looking at the formula with evil intent. Fiddling with your hands while you do so like you’re staring at golden wonderments of evil.) “We will have enough funding to get started on phase two!”
Narrator: Professor Rockwell and Professor Lycandale both look over at Doctor Valentine, some obvious worried concerns there.
Professor Rockwell: “I do wish we knew how to fix you Valentine. We know though, you mean no harm.”
Doctor Valentine: (Give Rockwell a glare while shaking a raised fist.) “That’s what you think you bald little monkey!”
Narrator: Lycandale gives a chuckle when Rockwell pulls his hat down over his head a little more.
Professor Rockwell: “Shortening! Shortening! I’m not balding! Thinning! That’s the word, I’m just thinning!”
Professor Lycandale: (Roll your eyes and walk over to put a hand on your friends’ shoulders.) “Alright you two, enough, we don’t need another battle of the yo mama jokes tonight.”
Secretary Martinez: (Knock on the door after walking over to get ready to enter the scene.)
Narrator: With that, the three looked over to hear a knock at the door. Lycandale removes her hands form the two mens’ shoulders.
Doctor Valentine: “Who the bloody devil is that? Don’t come in, I’m naked!”
Professor Rockwell: (Gives Valentine an odd look before looking back over at the door.) “Come in, Valentine is fully clothed.”
Secretary Martinez: (Opens the door and walks in, peeking carefully first juts in case.) “Phew, unlike last week. Why does he do that?..”
Doctor Valentine: (Strikes a Rock and Roll pose similar to KISS with his tongue hanging out before head banging.)
Professor Lycandale: (Watches Valentine.) “I don’t know but I hope there’s a cure for it.”
Narrator: Lycandale looks back after Rockwell shakes his head when Valentine finally stops. Valentine crossing his arms and now standing around like some snoody, French, famous photographer with attitude.
Professor Rockwell: “Did you need some Ms. Martinez?”
Secretary Martinez: (Gives a light smile to pair with a nod.) “I thought we’d celebrate tonight, congratulations of finally finishing the cure. Let’s go get some drinks! Eh.. A soda for Professor Valentine.”
Doctor Valentine: “That’s Doctor Valentine to you.” (Strides out in style, walking by Ms. Martinez while bringing up a hand sign as in to say ‘call me’.) “you know where to find the love doctor.”
Narrator: All watch, Lycandale staring with an openly disturbed expression and Rockwell mentally face palming. Martinez now thinking about a restraining order as she watches him leave with mighty concern.
Professor Rockwell: (Turns back to Martinez.) “Yeah, a drink right now sounds great. How about you Professor?” (Looks over at Lycandale, motioning for the door for her to go first.)
Professor Lycandale: “I’m ready for a lot more than just one drink. Spending three years with Valentine, I’m ready to clean out the bar. Lead the way Ms. Martinez.”
Secretary Martinez: (Smiles with a nod.)
Narrator: All walk out of the lab, forgetting to completely shut the door behind them. Enters Lily Rockwell after a few moments later when the chatter of the scientists and secretary has finally died off.
Lily: “Hey dad, did you call my name?” (Lily pokes his head through the door, opening it further to peer into the crystal clean lab.)
Narrator: With no answer, the young boy ventures inside further.
Lily: (Looks around, slowly making his way towards the table with the cure without realizing it, not yet there.) “Helloooooooooooo? Anyone? The door’s open, I thought someone said my name?”
Narrator: With no response yet again, the young boy looks around, a big amazed at how clean and white everything is. In his opinion, it could use some color, or GLaDOS from portal.
Lily: (Wipes his hand across the table top with the cure, then looks at the same hand again after lifting it off.) “Wow, crystal clean.” (Then, looks back down at the floor, wondering just how clean that is. Thinking of trying snow angels to prove how dirty the floor could be, or how clean it really is, he turns with his right arm out and accidentally knocks the vile with the cure off the table.)
Narrator: The vile flies, landing on a shelf clumsily only to land on its square bottom that it sat on before. Some of the liquids had dripped out here and there, along with hitting other viles over. Some said viles, began dripping into this vile.
Lily: (Eyes widen, running over to grab the vile.) “Oh no, which one is this?! If this is that cancer thing he was talking about, he’s going to kill me!”
Narrator: The liquid has changed tent, now sort of a dull blue instead of that lively one, just under half full.
Lily: “Half of it poured out, so if I fill the rest then.. Problem solved and I can act like none of this ever happened.” (Start pouring other viles of chemicals into that vile to fill it up more.)
Narrator: Still a bit panicked, the boy with the femme name continues to alter work that has been attempted for decades, now corrupted.
Lily: (Runs over and sets it back on the table, looking around paranoid and worried before looking back at it.) “There all better!” (Still looks really nervous, turning to run out of the lab.)
Narrator: Not far after, two of our previous guests rejoin us in this laboratory.
Professor Rockwell: “You haven’t noticed?” (Walks back in, not entirely looking all that happy.)
Doctor Valentine: “No, it’s not like you share everything with me these days, or I just don’t remember. Why did you TELL us you had cancer?”
Professor Rockwell: *Goes over to a counter and opens the drawer, taking out the needed syringe.
